Small Group Ministry
What is a Small Group?
A typical small group meeting is an hour and a half long. The members of a small group make a confidentiality commitment to the group. This ensures that anything that is shared in the group is respected and kept private. A commitment can be for as short as 6 weeks or it can be indefinite. The meeting begins with 15 to 30 minutes of personal sharing followed by 30 - 45 minutes of study and ending with about 15 minutes of prayer.
It is a place to build close relationships and friendships that are Christ centered. In this chaotic world it is an encouragement to be able to share joys, sorrows, and victories together. You will discover that your needs are not unique and that others are facing similar difficulties, may have lived through them or have learned spiritual principles in the process. As Christian disciples, spiritual formation and development requires that we address some of the most fundamental questions of faith, life, meaning and purpose. A small group provides the ideal setting for us to wrestle with such important issues. Your small group can be centered on whatever your passion may be and is a great way to meet people who may have the same passions. Come and see what Small Groups are all about!
